White Plains Bartending School

Nicole ROCKS! Her confidence behind the bar and her ability to relate bar lessons and drinks to vivid stories are a perfect combination for teaching and helping students to retain the material.

I would definitely recommend NBS to a friend. The fact that you get to take the classes over if needed, the flexible schedules and the placement service, along with he classes themselves, make this program a great value for anyone interested in bartending.

Thank you for receiving so graciously in the school, I particularly appreciated your efforts to arrange the information you gave me on how to be a Qualified Mixologist. I feel fully informed and prepared to demonstrate the skills you help me with, and an expression of gratitude is in order. Let me assure you right now, I enjoyed hearing, the magic words: you used smile. The time you gave is greatly appreciated, your kindness is gracious. I realize the ball is now in my court, and I will work hard to keep your good name and make an immediate contribution in any placement I get.

I wanted to write to express my appreciation for the outstanding course you provide for men and women who would like to enter into the field of bartending. Your small classes and hands on experience has enabled me to have the confidence I will need to enter into a business that demands not only the knowledge of making every drink that is "in" as well as those that have been trendy and popular for years. You have given me a good overview of how to fit in and not get frustrated when everyone seems to want a drink right "NOW. The teachers at your facility have become friends and have shared with me their experiences - which is the most "valuable" knowledge you can receive. David, thanks so much again for all our advise, your help in securing a job and also the knowledge that I can come back any time for a refresher course.

I'm writing today to personally thank you and the staff at your school, particularly Petra, for the experience I had several weeks ago when I attended the two-week training course. When I first came to the school I had no experience whatsoever in neither making drinks nor serving them. Right from the start I was introduced to an innovative way to remember even the most complex drinks. The students were instructed on proper bartending etiquette in an environment that mirrored that of a typical bar. Listening skills were stressed as our speed in making the various drinks gradually increased. By the time the two-week course had concluded, I felt as if I could immediately step into any bartending position and be just as efficient as a bartender who had some first hand experience but did not attend the school.

I have been a business professional for a major corporation for the past 15 years since graduating from college. During that time, as well as my tenure at college, I have encountered many instructors for various classes, training sessions, seminars, etc. However none have come close to making the impact that Petra did with her way of training in this particular field. Her enthusiasm for the subject at hand was obvious from the start and it was contagious to the rest of the class. She taught us not only the ingredients to the numerous drinks we learned, but also the manner in which to serve them in a way that would lead to a prosperous career in bartending.

Petra made the four hours each night for two weeks seem like only five minutes as her method of instructing was not only extremely informative but highly entertaining. She genuinely cared about making us legitimate bartenders as opposed to just passing us through a two-week course as if it were an assembly line. Petra also took an active role in helping me to try and find a job during a difficult time for my family and I even though there are other members of the staff who usually handle such matters. She is a credit to the teaching profession as a whole and a valuable asset to your school as I'm sure you are already aware.

Since my graduation from the school I have obtained a bartending position at a catering hall. Although at times it can get hectic, I have the utmost confidence that I can handle such situations and this is due solely to the training I received at the National Bartenders School. Thank you Mr. Rattner for this opportunity and Petra for making me into a bartender, I am grateful

I recently graduated from National Bartenders School and just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you what a great class it was. Vanessa has a great sense of humor and always keeps the class alive. Her tips and motivation were extremely helpful in learning so many drinks and serving with style. She always came in with a great attitude and made you look forward to the next class. I would definitely recommend National Bartenders School to anyone who is interested in bartending

I took the one week course in order to make a little extra money for the summer. I was skeptical about learning all there is to know about bartending in one week. After taking the forty hour class I knew more than I could have imagined, from facts about wines to liquors and how to serve them, to bartending responsibly. Not to mention that the teachers were fun and easy to get along with. Now I make an average of $250 a night working at a bar. And that's more than a little extra money for me
